Message from the Whitstable Week Committee
Posted: Wednesday, 04 March, 2009
Hi everyone, the Whitstable Week Committee are looking for people to assist in the kitchen during Whitstable Week. We are aiming at simple good hearty fare to make it as good value as possible and Fiona and Donna are looking for Volunteers in 2 areas. The Kitchen: it is running all week and we need volunteers to help out. This can be as much or as little as you want, and could be the preparation of or serving the food - for a few hours to one week. Calling all cake makers. We are looking for home made cakes for the sailors coming off the water. This is the chance to show off recipes that have been in the family for years. Obviously all cakes must be quality controlled by the office first!!! If you think you can help with either of the above then please contact Fiona : clarkehouse94@btinternet.com or Donna: Donna: donna.legs@btinternet.com. You can also contact Mel in the office who will pass on the details. Many thanks. Whitstable Week Committee

Mast Down
Posted: Tuesday, 16 December, 2008
Members are reminded that masts of boats on the beach and the West Quay must be lowered for the winter months. Please do this as soon as possible. Masts that have been taken down should be stored in such a way that pedestrians walking amongst the boats are not inconvenienced or endangered. Anyone wishing to continue sailing through the winter should let the office and their Class Captain know. Last year the Whitstable residents were really appreciative of the masts being lowered and we wish to retain their goodwill next year. Thank you for your co-operation.
