Margaret Winn

We are sorry to announce that Margaret Winn sadly passed away on Christmas morning following a short illness at the age of 89. She was a long term member of the Yacht Club and was made an Honorary Member in 2010. For many years she was the Minutes Secretary to the Sailing Committee, but she will best be remembered for her invaluable help in the Race Hut where she could be found each weekend recording the race results. Her funeral service will be held at St Alphege Church, High Street, Whitstable, on Thursday 30th January at 1.30pm to which all are welcome, afterwards the family will attend a short service of committal at Barham Crematorium at 3.20pm to which anyone who would like to attend is also welcome. Donations in her memory to go to the Whitstable branch of the RNLI. Please send to John Kemp Funeral Service, 26 Harbour Street, Whitstable, CT5 1AH.
