Boat and Trailer Parking
Posted: Wednesday, 25 February, 2009
Canterbury City Council will be undertaking reinforcing works on the West Quay starting in March through to June. This will mean that the West Quay will not be accessible in the normal way, severely curtailing the useable boat parking areas available to the club.
We will therefore be rigorously enforcing the club rules on boat parking on the beach (see page 24 of the 2009 Programme - in the post now). Any boat that does not display a 2009 sticker in accordance with these rules is liable to be moved from the beach to make space for those who have paid. Class captains will be allocating individual spaces within their class areas.
The state of the Chalet Park has become an embarrassment to the club and will be tidied at the Working Party on 14 March. Any trailer that does not display a 2009 sticker is liable to be disposed of. Action is already in hand to dispose of boats that appear to have been abandoned.
Please ensure that your boats and trailers are correctly marked in accordance with club rules.
