CHARLES CAMPION FINISHES 1st GRAND MASTER AT DUTCH LASER MASTERS NATIONALS

One day of racing was lost due to extreme conditions but 8 races over the three remaining days resulted in some challenging racing in very windy, gusty and shifty conditions on the large lake.  An OCS in Race 2 didn’t help Max’s chances and a capsize on the first downwind leg in Race 5 whilst in second place was also costly, and Max finished 13th overall out of the 44 Radials and just outside podium as 4th Grand Master.  In the full rig, Charlie fared much better podium wise, with consistent results that gave him 15th overall in the 39 strong fleet and 1st in the Grand Master category.  Well done Charlie! 

Next stop on the European tour is Sweden for the Masters Europeans at the end of July.
